Democrats Speak Out on WMDs Was President GW Bush the only one who believed that Saddam Hussein had WMDs? No, apparently every Democrat leader supported the President going to war with Iraq based on the same information - that Hussein did, indeed, have weapons of mass destruction. Preambles to the States' Constitution The myth of "separation of church and state" is mistakenly becoming a mantra of the left. Totally taken out of context, Thomas Jefferson never alluded to God being separated from the public square. It was Supreme Court Justice Hugo Black (1886-1971), a former Ku Klux Klan member, that we owe the prominence of Jefferson's inapt "wall of separation" metaphor in the Court's 20th century church-state jurisprudence in such cases as Everson v. The Board of Education.
