Wreaths Across America
On December 14, RWOP members Lillian Bish, Valerie Ellis, Leslie Neneman and Jean Perle participated in Wreaths Across America. They helped lay 3102 wreaths at our local VA cemetery. RWOP donated $1,700 to pay for 100 wreaths. 4900 cemeteries across America participated in this event to remember our Veterans. There were a total of 3.5 million wreaths laid.
Holiday Party at Granite Creek Health & Rehab
The RWOP Community Outreach Team held its 2nd Annual Holiday party at the Granite Creek Health & Rehab Center. 50 generous gift bags for the long term residents were provided by the RWOP members along with another 50 gift bags for short term residents and gift baskets for the staff. The talented RWOP singers entertained the guests and Santa popped in for a surprise visit. Zoe, a natural therapy dog, brought joy to each of the residents. Special thanks to Linda Sweeney and Barbara Orloff for all of the fine tuned coordinating.
