Chief Deputy Jeff Newnum




​Jeff Newnum  has dedicated 28 years of his career to serving the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office and currently holds the position of Chief Deputy. Throughout his career, he has climbed the law enforcement ranks and commanded the Law Enforcement Services Division and Detention Services Division. Jeff is currently responsible for overseeing the operation of the Sheriff’s Office. He has received numerous accolades for his exceptional work in homicide investigations, narcotics, impaired driving, and Search and Rescue. ​

Mara Byrd




Mara Byrd is the Director of the Child Evangelism Fellowship in Yavapai County. She began serving with the Child Evangelism Fellowship, as a missionary, right out of College in Minnesota where she was born and raised. She served as the Director of Teacher Training for CEF of Minnesota for many years. In 2013, she and her husband, Mike, of 34 years moved to Prescott, Arizona to retire. God introduced her to the ministry of CEF Arizona soon after moving here, and she agreed to become a volunteer coordinator for the new ministry being launched in Yavapai County. A local committee was established, and she officially became the Director in 2017 for CEF in Yavapai County. She directs the local work of Good News Clubs® in the elementary schools during the school year and 5-Day Clubs® during the summer months.
This Christmas Mara and Mike will be enjoying Christmas in Prescott with their two daughters, son-in-laws, and 3-year-old grandson Aiden.

Special Guests

The 2024 RWOP Executive Board of Directors will be installed by Arizona State Treasurer, Kimberly Yee. BIO
Rodney Glassman will sing the Shalom Rav - a Hebrew Prayer for Peace. In addition to the Prayer, he will also explain the lighting of the Menorah. He also will be speaking about the Jewish National Fund. We will place blue boxes on the luncheon tables and ask people to add their coins, enabling the Jewish Fund to plant trees in Israel.  ​
