PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE
Hello Republican Women of Prescott,
Happy New Year everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season with your family and friends.
I am proud to serve as your 2022 President and honored to be with such an enthusiastic and talented Board of Directors who are eager to carry on the RWOP tradition. We will keep RWOP the successful and highly respected organization that it is, not only locally, but throughout our great State of Arizona and our beautiful Country. I would be remiss if I didn't thank all of our Active, Associate and Student Members who are a great group of devoted patriots! As members, I welcome your ideas. Your continued support, participation and suggestions have added to our success. Our RWOP membership is what makes us strong as we have strength in numbers! When you think of something that might enhance our programs or improve our organization, let us know. To find out about volunteer opportunities within our organization, visit our Membership booth at our luncheons. Staying involved as a member helps our organization grow stronger and encourages other individuals to join RWOP.
The year 2021 was a wonderful and exciting time for RWOP. Many local and state candidates made it a point to come before our membership to speak on their candidacy. We held fundraising events and through our Outreach Program, were able to hold many events that benefited and strengthened our presence in our community. On January 15, 2022 many RWOP members will travel to Phoenix to participate in the Walk for Life Rally which support the rights of the unborn, a cornerstone of Republican values. This will be an amazing event!
As you know, 2022 is an election year and a very critical time for our State as well as America. More than ever, I will be keeping with RWOP's Mission Statement which is "...educating and empowering its members, and by electing Republicans to local, state and national offices." As we did in 2021, our programs focused on presenting candidates to our membership and we will continue to accommodate as many Republican candidates to speak before our members in 2022. This will allow our members to have personal access to the candidates. As a result, our members will be able to ask pertinent questions of the candidates to make informed decisions when voting. Let's all continue to work hard to keep our State RED!
RWOP will be celebrating its 80th Anniversary this year. In 1942, Dora Heap founded the Republican Women of Prescott. I am sure she would be pleasantly surprised to see how successful and influential RWOP has evolved. We owe her a great debt of gratitude for having the foresight to establish RWOP and it is a privilege for me and our Board of Directors to lead this organization forward.
May you all have many blessings in 2022 as well as a happy, healthy and prosperous year!
